Grand Junction Stormwater Intrusion
When gutters fail and a negative exterior grade come in to play during a severe rainstorm, water can spill into the basement via a window. The Before Photo shows the silt and mud carried in with the water that covered the concrete painted slab. The water penetration was minimal thanks to the coating, and the cleanup was done with a wet/vac, mops, and buckets. Though our SERVPRO of Grand Junction has a large high-tech and industry-leading array of equipment, sometimes hand tools and elbow grease get the job done efficiently. To assure a safe environment, we can spray an antimicrobial agent on all the surfaces as standard operating procedure. The dehumidifiers have been removed in the After Photo after we verified a normal RH in the basement of this Grand Junction home. "Like it never even happened."
